West Caldwell has a Juvenile Conference Committee composed of between 6 and 9 volunteers who meet to hear and make recommendations on matters involving alleged juvenile offenders in the Township. The process consists of a meeting in which the offense and other related factors are discussed voluntarily by the juvenile, the parents and/or guardians, and the Committee. The Committee carefully considers this information when making recommendations designed to facilitate the juveniles rehabilitation.
