Register to vote online at https://voter.svrs.nj.gov/register.  The deadline to register to vote is October 13.

You must be able to provide a driver’s license number or nondriver’s ID number to validate your signature or your Social Security number and be able to sign online. If you are unable to provide a digital signature, you cannot register online.

Automatic Vote-by-Mail ballots will be sent to registered voters.

The General Election will be conducted primarily via vote-by-mail ballots, which will be sent to all active registered voters without the need for the voter to request one. All ballots will have prepaid postage.

Returning Vote-by-mail ballots.

All ballots will be mailed from County Clerks by Monday, October 5. Voters will be able to return ballots by mail, or in the secure drop box at Municipal Building, 30 Clinton Road, or by handling it directly to a poll worker at polling place on Election Day

Polling Locations

West Caldwell will have two (2) polling locations: James Caldwell High School cafeteria and Municipal Building, 2nd floor public meeting room.

Any voter who chooses to cast their vote in person will do so using a provisional (paper) ballot, not by machine.

Voters with disabilities

All individuals with disabilities will have access to an ADA-conforming voting machine at their polling location.

No sample ballots

No sample ballots will be sent but voters will receive notification about their polling place location and secure drop box. A sample ballot is on the door at Municipal Building, 30 Clinton Road or by clicking here.
